sipping wine

Wine is not only good for your heart but it aids in slimming as well.  But sipping a glass of vino at the end of the day can produce a sleep-sapping backlash later on.  According to experts,  alcohol’s sedative effect lasts only a few hours, after that, alcohol actually interrupts sleep as the body metabolizes it.  So, even if you drift off quickly, you can experience wakefulness and disruptive awakenings in the second half of the night, leading to grogginess the next day.  To sidestep this, limit alcohol intake in the evening to just a glass, then switch to nonalcoholic drinks three hours before hitting the sack.
