Ever since I’ve tried the Tamarind Smoothie for the first time, I’ve been addicted to it. So, I’ve searched the internet for the best Tamarind Smoothie recipes and so far, this is my favorite.


Tamarind Smoothie


  • 1 teaspoon tamarind paste
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 1/2 scoops frozen vanilla yogurt or vanilla ice cream
  • pinch ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract


  1. Place all ingredients into the canister of a blender or smoothie machine and blend until combined and thick. Serve with a straw.

Here’s another recipe to keep you cool this summer. Don’t let the color scare you because I tell you, this is really delicious and of course, very healthy.

Mint-Apple Mashup


  • 1 cup packed baby spinach
  • 1 cup diced seedless cucumber
  • 1 peeled apple, diced
  • 1-2 Tbs. liquid chlorophyll
  • 6 mint leaves.


  1. In blender, combine all ingredients and 8 ice cubes. Puree 1 minute or until smooth. Serve immediately.

Hmm, I don’t know what to name this smoothie, but what I can tell you is it’s delicious, refreshing and definitely healthy. I didn’t feel like filling up my tummy with something heavy yesterday, so I thought I’d make something light. I rummaged through my fridge and found a few slices of cantaloupe, 1 Dalandan (local orange), pechay leaves and a cucumber.

My Green Smoothie


  • 1 cup cantaloupe, sliced into cubes
  • Juice of 1 Dalandan or Orange
  • 1 cup Cucumber, sliced onto cubes
  • 1 1/2 cups Pechay leaves or Spinach
  • 2 - 3 Tbsps. Honey
  • Ice cubes


  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend at high speed for a few minutes. Enjoy!

It’s chilly out there, but that doesn’t stop me from making a very refreshing and guilt-free smoothie. It’s so easy to make and really delicioso. Yup, I’m starting to eat and drink healthy again after splurging during the holiday season.

Cucumber Orange Smoothie


  • 1 medium-sized cucumber, sliced
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • sugar or honey to sweeten


  1. Place all ingredients in blender and pulse until smooth. Add some water if it gets too thick. Enjoy!

  • 1/2 cup fresh pineapple
  • 1/4 cup chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2-1 1/4 tsp. wheatgrass powder


  1. In blender, puree all ingredients and 3 ice cubes 3 seconds or until smooth. Serve immediately.

I know it’s hard to encourage your little kids to eat veggies, especially when they see those ads on TV about the new toys featured with a Happy Meal and they are asking you to order now for home delivery. But there are ways to disguise them, so they’ll never know they are actually eating or drinking veggies. Here’s a delicious recipe you can try at home.


Spinach Orange Splash


  • 1 1/2 cups packed baby spinach leaves
  • 1 small banana, peeled and sliced
  • 1 large orange, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup chilled orange juice


  1. In blender, combine all ingredients, Blend 30 seconds or until smooth. Pour into glass. Serve immediately.

Greens like spinach, lettuce and kale are loaded with potassium, immunity-boosting vitamin C and bone-strengthening vitamin K, these jolly green drinks will have your kiddos asking for more.

Mocha Malt Surprise


  • 1/2 ripe avocado
  • 1/4 cup chocolate malt mix (like Ovaltine)
  • 2/3 cup low-fat chocolate milk
  • 1/ 1/2 tsp. instant coffee


  1. In blender, puree all ingredients 30 seconds or until combined. Add 1/2 cup ice. Puree 30 seconds mor,e or until smooth. Serve immediately.
